HCUT was founded in November 2002 by Ms. Reginale Durandisse, Founder & President and Philippe " Bob" Louis Jeune, Co-Founder &CEO.  Both individuals are Haitian immigrants who saw the needs for Haitian American Citizens/immigrants  to get involve in civic life in America and their respected communities.  Civic participation is an essential tools for  any immigrant groups in order to gain political, social, education and economic mobility while maintaining personal culture and as well as assimilate to the mainstream system.
